Quite simply because none of those ”FRIENDS” know the real person who is their NARCISSIST contact. They only know what they see and they see the NARCISSIST´S FALSE-SELF, which is reflecting the friend´s image back to them as though he/she were the same kind of person, making the “friends” feel that the NARCISSIST is a compatible type of person.
